Once upon a time there was a little girl on a goat dairy who spent more time in the barn catching wild barn cats than playing dolls in the house. She grew up in a family who was very involved in obedience training of dogs as well as showing many different breeds in the conformation show rings. The animals, especially dogs, became such a huge part of her life.

Times changed, the family changed, and her heart missed her dogs so deeply. After graduating collage, she married and moved to Idaho. That summer she finally had the option to buy her own dog again.

Time went on and her family grew, including an AKC registered Labrador Retriever. Her husband realized her passion and love for the dogs and encouraged her to pursue what was quickly developing into a dream. That dream became a reality and their own program started in 2014.

Son Shine Cavaliers

The name Son Shine is in memory of my dad and his program. He, alongside his wife, raised and showed Pomeranians for about the last 20 years of his life. He was very proud of the 50 Canadian Kennel Club Champions they had titled over the years. He was always interested in searching out new ideas. A very creative man with a lot of drive.
